Erasmus+ GREEN-ID project lunched: the green transition as a bridge to inclusion and European citizenship!

The Fondazione Toscana Sostenibile is pleased to announce the official launch of the new European project GREEN-ID (Green Transition and European Identity for Migrant Communities), funded by the Erasmus+ program in the field of adult education.

The Foundation acts as the lead coordinator for the project, supported by long-standing partners Culture Goes Europe (CGE) (Germany) and the valuable new contribution of FEDELATINA (Spain).

Online Kick-off Meeting and Strategic Decisions

The project kick-off meeting took place recently with great enthusiasm. For this initial phase, the consortium opted for an online format to streamline operational planning, facilitate immediate coordination, and minimize the environmental footprint associated with travel during the early stages.

However, face-to-face interaction and direct exchange remain fundamental pillars of the project; an in-person meeting has been scheduled for the project’s conclusion, providing an opportunity for the team and partners to gather in person to celebrate achievements, evaluate the pilot initiatives implemented locally, and conduct a final assessment of the project’s journey.

The FTS Project Team and Partners

Project coordination for the Fondazione Toscana Sostenibile is led by Carla Sabatini (Project Manager and FTS Erasmus project coordination lead). Working alongside her are Simone Pagni, the Foundation’s Director—who will ensure the high quality of scientific and ecological content in his capacity as an environmental expert—and Maurizio Sani, an IT specialist providing essential operational support for digital and executive management.

Representing the German partner CGE, we are pleased to welcome back Mariana (Project Manager)—a professional with whom FTS has successfully collaborated on numerous youth exchanges, research projects, and training courses—joined by Martina and Mahmood. We also extend a warm welcome to Camila, a representative from Fedelatina—a new strategic contact with whom we are excited to collaborate and share new opportunities for migrant inclusion within the realm of sustainability.

In the coming weeks, the first focus groups and field research activities will get underway to gather insights from local communities and prepare the future GREEN-ID Toolkit. Stay tuned for updates!
